This letter was written for Dennis Wright and his very kind common sense ways of horse interaction. I highly recommend Dennis to everyone.

For those of you who have had the privilege of witnessing one of Dennis Wright's clinics, well I really don't need to go any further. But for those of you who are crinkling up your forehead saying to yourself "who is Dennis Wright?" If you love horses and you're not a professional trainer you need to keep reading. I believe even the professionals could gain a mountain of information from Dennis and perhaps not as many horses would have their "spirits" broken as well.

My name is Carrie Perry and I am the Executive Director/Founder of Blue Heaven Therapeutic Riding Academy, Inc. You would think I was a professional horsemen when opening a business like this. Like many "horse people" I thought I knew a lot about horses and when I met Dennis Wright. He wasn't the typical horseman. The one who thinks this way is the only way and if you don't do everything his way you've ruined your horse. Dennis' motivation for all he does is the well being of the horse!!! That's it. It's really not to help people but to save the horses from "trainers" and inexperienced horse people like I was. (I still have a lot to learn) Dennis is the voice of the horse in my eyes. Dennis taught me how a horse thinks. And let me tell you they are not saying what you think they are saying. He taught me a kind and gentle way of teaching a horse. He taught me to rise above being human and be an equal to my horse. My horses and I are partners. I may be the lead mare in their eyes but equal all the same. My horse does what I ask because he wants to and he respects me and trusts me. If you listen to Dennis this process takes very little time and effort. You just need to be honest with your horse and yourself.

This method I have brought into Blue Heaven and I'm very glad I have done so. My horses are happier and that makes everyone happy. When handling a horse using Dennis' methods our horse can perform longer and with a better attitude. This is essential in Therapeutic riding. The horses deal with people with disabilities all day long and some of those people may not know their own reactions so the horse has to be patient. And for someone to get on them. How many times have you seen your horse eager for someone to get on him/her? Before Dennis I didn't know it was possible.

I did not understand that a person could have such a relationship with their horse, it really is possible to do anything you want with your horse even if you don't know very much about horses. Go see Dennis and he will educate you and give you the tools you need to love your horse and be safe doing it.

P.S
My daughter at 14 years old started with Dennis and now she is the horseman I only dreamed about becoming.
